Absent Voter Ballots will be available the end of September

Oct. 21 - Last Day to register to vote online or by mail to vote in the November Election.

Oct. 26 - Nov. 3 - Early in-person voting period for the November Presidential Election.  Early Voting Site on CR 681, Passed Fairgrounds at old Social Services Buildings

Nov. 4 at 4:00 p.m. - Last day to request an absentee ballot in person at a local clerk's office.

Please take notice that a Regular Board Meeting of the LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES will be held on October 10, 2024 at 6:00 p.m.(New Time) It will be held in-person at the Lawrence Township Hall 411 N. Paw Paw St. Lawrence, MI 49064.

 

Starting with the April 2023 meeting we will no longer be offering internet connection for the public. If you have questions or want a copy of the Agenda the week of the meeting please feel free to contact Clerk Janssen at 269-674-4255 or at clerk@lawrence-township.org.

PUBLIC NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Public Accuracy Test for the November 5, 2024 General Election has been scheduled for Wednesday Oct 16, 2024 at 10:00 am. in the Lawrence Township Hall at 411 North Paw Paw St., Lawrence, Michigan.

The Public Accuracy Test is conducted to determine that the program and the computer being used to tabulate the results of the election counts the votes in the manner prescribed by law.

We are always looking for prizes for our Bingo! If you have any new (or like New) items you would like to donate please drop them off at the Township Hall (7am-3pm, Mon.-Thru.) or bring them to the Monday lunches. Thank you

 

We have Game Wednesdays from 1-3pm in the Township's Hall.

Cannabis Agency Notice

 

 Paid for with a grant from the State of Michigan, Lawrence Township has secure lock boxes available for residents. These boxes help prevent unwanted consumption of legal drugs and provide a safe means of legal transportation. Please visit the Township Hall at 411 N. Paw Paw St. to request a free lock box.

 GENERAL OFFICE HOURS are Monday-Thursday 7am - 3pm.  You may drop off items in the secure drop box located at the office entrance of the Township Hall located at 411 N Paw Paw St, Lawrence outside office hours.

SafeBuilt Represenative

A Represenative from SafeBuilt is in the Township Office Tuesday and Thursday mornings 7am - 11:30am.  to answer questions and assist people.

 

A SafeBuilt Permit Tech is now in the office daily M-Th 7:30-4:00pm. They will handle all permits that the township offers through SafeBuilt.(As of Sept. we are without a tech. SafeBuilt is trying to hire someone.)

 

TREASURER OFFICE HOURS

The Treasurer's office is now open Mondays - Fridays 9am - 4pm and Wednesdays 9am - 6pm(during tax season only) People needing service may also call the Treasurer's phone line directly at 269-674-3840. If we don't answer please leave a message and we will get back with you.

 

Cannabis Agency Office is open Monday - Friday

8am - 4pm. They are happy to answer questions and assist individuals in all things Cannabis related.
