Lawrence Township has a Master Plan for land use. The Master Plan for Lawrence Township, Van Buren County, Michigan was orignally adopted April 17, 2002 and the most recent revision was January 12, 2017. The Master Plan for Lawrence Township contains three major parts; (1) An inventory of the existing physical environment, (2) Goals, Policies and Objectives which describe a land use planning agenda for the township over a ten year period, and (3) A future land use map which describes the physical vision for a future land use pattern for the community.
The Lawrence Township ordinances have been compiled (combined) into a comprehensive document now called the CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF LAWRENCE. Ordinances have been renamed as Chapters. Additional ordinances or amendments that have not yet been compiled are listed separately.
