Lawrence Township Flag: A Symbol of Our Heritage and Future

The official flag of Lawrence Township proudly reflects the heart of our community—its land, history, and values.

Flag Design Overview:
The flag features three horizontal bands:

  • Deep Blue (Top): Representing the wide Michigan sky and the township’s connection to regional progress and transportation routes like I-94.

  • White (Middle): Symbolizing unity, peace, and the strong sense of community among our residents.

  • Green (Bottom): Reflecting Lawrence Township’s agricultural roots, natural landscapes, and commitment to preservation.

At the center, a circular emblem brings together key elements of our township:

  • A tree stands for growth, farming heritage, and our rural identity.

  • A sun rises behind it, symbolizing hope and the bright future of our township.

  • Flowing beneath, a blue river mirrors our lakes, creeks, and dedication to natural resource protection.

  • Rolling green hills represent the township’s glacially shaped land and open spaces.

Together, these elements tell the story of a township built on rich soil, strong community, and thoughtful planning for the generations to come.
