Under certain conditions, summer property tax payments may be deferred without interest, as permitted by Michigan law.
To qualify, all of the following must apply:
The parcel is the owner’s principal residence or qualifying agricultural real property
The owner is 62 years of age or older, or disabled (as defined by the Michigan Department of Treasury)
The owner meets the annual household income limit established by the State of Michigan
Deferred taxes must be paid by the statutory deadline
